Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy supplements our Privacy Policy, which explains how qezvorant handles personal data more broadly. Here we focus on what cookies are, which categories we use, and how you can control them.

Last Updated: March 08, 2026

1) What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They help websites remember information about your visit. Some cookies are necessary for basic functions (for example, keeping a session stable as you move between pages). Other cookies help measure how visitors use the site or help advertising platforms understand whether an ad resulted in a visit or enquiry.

Cookies are not the only tracking technology. Some providers also use pixel tags (small pieces of code that load when a page loads), local storage, or server-side event reporting. When we refer to “cookies” in this policy, we mean cookies and similar technologies that store or access information on your device.

2) Types of cookies (by lifespan and origin)

Cookies can be described in a few practical ways:

  • Session cookies exist only while your browser is open and typically disappear when you close it.
  • Persistent cookies stay on your device for a set period or until you delete them.
  • First-party cookies are set by this website (qezvorant.co.uk).
  • Third-party cookies are set by other domains (for example, analytics and advertising partners) when their tools are enabled.

In practice, the most important difference is whether a cookie is essential for the site to function, or optional and enabled only if you consent (analytics and marketing).

3) Cookie categories we use

We group cookies into three categories. These categories match the options in our cookie banner and cookie preferences panel:

Essential cookies (always on)

Essential cookies help the website function reliably. They support basic features such as security, keeping a session stable, and remembering your cookie choices. These cookies do not require consent because they are necessary for the site to work as expected.

Analytics cookies (optional, consent required)

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use our pages so we can improve explanations and navigation. For example, we might learn that learners frequently revisit the sock heel section, or that a lesson page loads slowly on certain devices. When enabled, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with IP anonymization and a typical data retention of 14 months.

Marketing cookies (optional, consent required)

Marketing cookies help measure advertising performance and make ads more relevant. When enabled, these cookies may support conversion attribution (understanding whether a registration enquiry came from an ad) and remarketing (showing ads to people who visited specific pages). Typical providers include Google Ads and Meta.

We do not use marketing cookies unless you choose to allow them. You can change your choice at any time.

4) Cookie table

The table below lists cookies commonly associated with our essential, analytics, and marketing categories. Not all third-party cookies will be present on your device at all times; some appear only after you give consent and the related tools are activated.

Name Purpose Category Type Retention
_site_session Site session continuity Essential First-party Session
cookie_consent Stores your consent choice Essential First-party 12 months
_ga GA4 user identifier Analytics Third-party 2 years
_ga_XXXXXXXXXX GA4 session state (10-char GA4 ID) Analytics Third-party 2 years
_gcl_au Google Ads conversion linker Marketing Third-party 90 days
_fbp Meta Pixel browser identifier Marketing Third-party 90 days
_fbc Meta Pixel click identifier Marketing Third-party 90 days

5) Third-party providers

When you consent to analytics and/or marketing cookies, we may use services provided by:

  • Google LLC (Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager)
  • Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta Pixel and related advertising tools)
  • Cloudflare (security and performance services that can use network-level signals)

We do not permit these providers to use site data for their own independent commercial purposes. Where a provider acts as a processor, it processes data on our instructions to deliver the requested service (for example, reporting aggregated analytics).

6) Managing cookie preferences

You can manage cookies in three main ways:

  • On this site: use the “Manage cookie preferences” link in the footer to review and update your choices. This re-opens the cookie banner and preferences panel.
  • In your browser: most browsers let you block or delete cookies. If you block essential cookies, parts of the site may not function as intended.
  • With provider tools: you can use the opt-out mechanisms offered by advertising and analytics providers.
